Parts Counter Consultant

Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Assistant Parts Manager to join our fast-growing team. The Assistant Parts Manager is responsible for the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods. This individual is responsible for customer service and retail sales in the Parts Department and must be meticulous, prioritizing, and team-oriented while having the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job functions include but not limited to:

• Help any customers (service department, body shop, or retail) with Quotes, Sales, Ordering , and Locating back-ordered parts 
• Assisting Parts Manager with Day to Day tasks such as Inventory management, and watching GM parts programs
• Following daily sales and speaking with parts manager daily about : Lost Sales, Emergency Purchases, and profitability 
• Keeping track of outside purchases, creation of Purchase Orders, and following up with parts sales staff that all parts are billed to invoices and billed correctly 

Employee Prerequisites:

• Stands, walks, or sits for a long period without resting. (Up to 5 hours) Must have the capability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a group.
• Basic math techniques include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Previous automotive parts sales experience is required. General Motors parts experience preferred. Pay based on experience.
