William Blair Private Wealth Management is seeking an Associate I - Investments to support the team's investment management activities, assist with portfolio analysis, and contribute to the development of investment strategies for Advisors. Responsibilities Include But May Not Be Limited To Conduct research and analysis on various investment opportunities. Synthesize client/prospect data to help in development of customized financial plans/asset allocation proposals. Gather performance measurement for clients, which involves account performance and investment portfolio holdings. Utilize analytic tools to draw actionable conclusions from financial and market data for the team. Assist in gathering information to senior team members to make recommendations to Advisors for clients and investment strategies with market and stock research. Gather data for senior team members regarding client situations by analyzing Advisor’s book of business and identifying new business opportunities. Analysis data for team to be able to develop new procedures, products, and portfolio enhancements for advisors' high net worth clients. Assist in preparation for client/account meetings. Work with advisors/clients on the execution of orders in Brokerage and Advisory accounts. Support senior team members in finding opportunities for improving and streamlining the service model and operational procedures for the team. Ensure work activities follow established risk controls and are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients of Private Wealth Management. Additional responsibilities as requested. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. 1+ years of investment related experience in a relevant financial or quantitative field required; preference for Investment Research, Manager Research or Wealth Management. SIE Exam, Series 7, and Series 63/65 (or 66) must be acquired within 150 days of employment. Ability to measure performance of clients’ portfolios. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of applicable compliance rules and regulations and firm policies. Able to work independently and effectively on a team. Strong skills with analytic reporting tools and MS Office programs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position. This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.
