Job Description
Dance Endeavors is looking to hire a positive, nurturing and relialable person for the role of Dance Instructor. Enjoyment in teaching children's classes in a variety of styles and age groups, ability to communicate effectively, and flexibility in meeting individual student needs and goals is a MUST. Styles may include hip-hop, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary or acro.
Due to our rapid expansion this year, Dance Endeavors has added a few more classes and is looking for another teacher or two! We are entering our 22nd year of serving students in West Bloomington! We believe in and pride ourselves in teaching so much more than dance! We know we are raising tomorrow’s leaders through dance, so we strive to grow our dancers from the inside out. We offer not only a top-notch dance education, but friendships and classroom lessons to last a lifetime. We want you to love coming to work every day, so our studio culture and community is a top priority. Our teachers and office staff are positive, hardworking, focused people who support each other and the business by being invested and committed to our unified goals. Being a dance instructor here includes teaching dance lessons for kids on a weekly basis, choreographing top-notch routines that fit our dancer's abilities, preparing students for performances, providing student feedback, communicating with parents and fellow teachers, and attending studio rehearsals, performances and events. Candidates should have excellent organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication, creative and flexible teaching style, and an enthusiastic and warm approach with students.
Hours are 4:00-9:00pm Monday-Thursday (choose which night(s) works for you!) and some weekends for performances and extra rehearsals.
