Job Description

Overview Flight Control Manager role at Airshare Careers. The position oversees and leads the Flight Control team and department through continuous process improvement and development. Ensure aircraft and crew schedules satisfy Airshare flight demand efficiently. Works collaboratively with the Director of Flight Operations, Owner Services Manager, Manager on Duty, OCC Training Manager, Manager of Maintenance Scheduling and others to ensure effective and clear communication. This role is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Overland Park, KS and is not remote or hybrid. Responsibilities Lead the Flight Control team, Mission Planning team and Crew Planner by providing guidance on departmental priorities and processes Maintain the Flight Control Department staff schedule with assistance from supervisors Review/approve all Paid Time Benefit and schedule changes in a timely manner Verify all Airshare Flights meet FAR Part 135/91K regulations for crew, aircraft, and trips as scheduled Maintain the Flight Control Manual in accordance to Airshare GOM Maintain Flight Control references and documents in OneDrive, Comply365 and other needed locations Continue to develop and review SOPs within Flight Control, Mission Planning, and Crew Planning for best practices Work with the OCC Training Manager to provide initial and recurrent training for the Flight Control Department and develop formal training resources Maintain relationships with outside vendors and partners of Airshare as they relate to Flight Control operations Assist Airshare sales operations with demonstration trips, static event showings, and special events Ensure the aircraft schedule is promoted and optimized as efficiently as possible Assist the Director of Training and Crew Planner in pilot training duties and needs Assist the Director of Flight Operations in assessing the flight department and crew resources needs and best practices Arrange for landing and over-flight permits, clearances, ground handling, security needs, and customs for domestic and international destinations Must be highly knowledgeable of the Airshare Flight Control Operations Manual, Flight Operations Manual, FAA and International Regulations, Company Operations Specifications, Company Policies and Procedures, and other pertinent information relating to duties Maintain expert-level knowledge of the company’s Centralized Scheduling Software and assist the Manager of Operations Technology Night and weekend on-call is required and should be expected Perform other duties and assignments, as requested by the Director of Flight Operations Qualifications Strong scheduling and analytical skills Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as this is a 24/7/365 operation Skills in communicating clearly and effectively with people at all levels, both oral and written Highly organized with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and prioritization Ability to maintain high level of discretion and confidentiality Minimum 2-year commitment in role Preferred qualifications 4-year college degree Prior business/executive aircraft scheduling experience Understanding of FAA Part 135, 91, 91K regulations Benefits And Perks Medical, dental, and vision insurance – coverage starts on the first day of the month following your date of hire No-cost medical and dental option at the employee level Optional supplemental insurance benefits (accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness, life, short-term/long-term disability, fertility, and pet) Paid Parental Leave Company-paid term life insurance equal to 1.5 times your annual salary Two 401(k) retirement plans with employer match PTO accrual based on length of employment 12 holidays per year Relocation flight access On-site gym with locker rooms and sauna Group fitness classes and activities Access to Bicycle sharing On-site café and Food Truck Wednesdays Amazon Delivery lockers Covered parking Senioriry level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Airlines and Aviation #J-18808-Ljbffr Airshare Careers
