Position Type: Athletics/ Soccer, Assistant Coach, Girls, High School Date Posted: 5/22/2025 Location: New London High School Multi Magnet Campus Program Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the soccerteam, including daily practices, conditioning, and skill development. Team Development: Coach and mentor student-athletes, focusing on both individual and team skills. Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Competition Preparation: Prepare the team for gamesand tournaments, including strategic planning, match preparation, and in-game coaching. Recruitment and Retention: Work with school administration to recruit and retain student-athletes for the program. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with athletes, parents, and school administration. Provide regular updates on team progress, schedule changes, and other relevant information. Compliance: Ensure compliance with school policies, league regulations, and safety protocols. Keep accurate records of practices, matches, and player performance. Certification: Must hold a valid State of Connecticut Coaching Certification. First Aid, CPR, and Concussion Certification are required. Experience: Previous coaching experience in soccer, preferably at the high school or collegiate level, is highly desirable. Skills: Strong knowledge oftechniques, strategies, and rules. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and develop players.
