Immigration Paralegal – Bercovitch Law Offices (Philadelphia, PA)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Immigration Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to work independently, and eager to support clients through various immigration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documents, including but not limited to asylum claims, family-based petitions, employment authorizations, and adjustment of status applications.
• Draft and review affidavits, legal correspondence, and client declarations.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance with deadlines.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide case updates, and explain immigration processes.
• Conduct legal research on immigration regulations, procedures, and case law as needed.
• Coordinate with government agencies such as USCIS, ICE, EOIR, and NVC regarding case statuses and filings.
• Support attorneys with court filings, motions, and preparation for immigration hearings.
• Monitor deadlines and manage case calendars to ensure timely filings and responses.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Required: At least 1-2 years of experience as an immigration paralegal in a law firm or similar setting.
• Preferred: Experience in asylum and removal defense cases.
• Strong knowledge of immigration forms (I-485, I-130, I-589, I-765, etc.) and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management software, and legal research tools.
• Fluency in Spanish, French, or another second language is a plus but not required.
