JOB POSTING

JOB TITLE: Parts Manager

DEPARTMENT: Service

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory for the parts and accessories department. The Parts Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining vendor and customer relationships. The position also includes selling marine equipment and supplies such as fixtures, pumps, instruments, cordage, paints, motor parts, and water sport equipment. The Parts Manager must be able to provide exceptional customer service and be able to train parts and accessories staff in safety and department procedures. Must be highly organized and be able to anticipate the needs of the customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Acts as a liaison between the parts department and other store operations
2. Follow processes and procedures for checking parts in and out of the inventory system
3. Monitor inventory and advise manager on inventory levels
4. Provide excellent customer service

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. HS Diploma or GED
2. At least 3 years’ experience in parts management
3. Technical automotive knowledge
4. Management experience and skills

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs. independently

1. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
2. Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed
