Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Contract: 6-Month Contract
Compensation: $35–$42/hour (DOE)

Overview:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst for a 6-month onsite contract opportunity in Seattle, WA. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives on data accuracy, process improvement, and compliance. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, auditing, and supporting payroll operations to ensure precise and compliant payroll processing across multiple states.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed audits of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies in wages, deductions, and tax withholdings

• Analyze payroll reports and metrics to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

• Support end-to-end payroll processing cycles for exempt and non-exempt employees

• Partner with HR, Accounting, and Finance to reconcile payroll accounts and address employee pay issues

• Maintain and update payroll systems and data, including benefit deductions, tax setups, and direct deposit changes

• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for management, Finance, and external auditors

• Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation, tax reconciliations, and system testing

• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in payroll operations

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in payroll analysis, administration, or related function

• Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance standards

• Proficiency with major payroll systems (ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar)

• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)

• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
