Position Summary:

As part of our commitment to providing exceptional education, Great Oaks seeks a dedicated School Social Worker for High School. This role is crucial in helping students overcome challenges, develop social skills, and navigate their educational journey successfully.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social and emotional challenges.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create and implement intervention plans.

• Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs.

• Develop and lead workshops on conflict resolution, stress management, and communication skills.

• Support the counseling department with administering, monitoring, and implementing student 504 plans.

• Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources.

• Support students in crisis and provide necessary referrals to external agencies.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• State licensure as a School Social Worker or ability to demonstrate certification eligibility.

• Strong understanding of social and emotional development in adolescents.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive approach.

• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.

Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $58,000 - $78,000 Based on Experience.
