We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator to support the Maryland Judiciary in Annapolis, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and supporting complex enterprise environments. Job Title: Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator Location: Annapolis, MD (Locals Preferred) Work Mode: Hybrid Employment Type: Contract (C2C), Full time Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card, H1B, Work Permit Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers across dev, test, and prod environments Perform upgrades, patching, and security hardening Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and efficiency Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python Configure and maintain Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and ecosystem tools Collaborate with security teams to maintain system compliance Manage storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions Support application teams on Linux-based deployment best practices Maintain detailed documentation of systems and procedures Provide on-call support and resolve incidents as needed Set up NFS and mount points; configure Cron jobs Preferred Skills and Experience: Complex network systems and strong networking knowledge Experience administering: Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems Oracle WebLogic / Database Servers Progress 4GL / OpenEdge Apache Web Servers RHEL on vSphere Rubrik backup systems PeopleSoft, Mobius, Elastic Search, Oracle OBI, CVS Red Hat performance tuning and support Backup/recovery, load balancing, disaster recovery methodologies 24/7 availability and support environments Electronic imaging systems Application development background a plus Required Skills: Ability to work both independently and in a team Strong communication and leadership abilities Skilled in troubleshooting OS, database, and application-level issues Experience interfacing with users and helpdesk for support needs Proficient in backup/recovery strategies and network configurations Damco Solutions
