Job Description

As a Social Media Team Intern, you’ll play a hands-on role in creating, scheduling, and analyzing content that supports our mission, all while gaining

real-world experience and building your portfolio. This is a great opportunity to be a founding member of a team that will shape how we show up online. If you love social media, storytelling, and content creation, this might be the internship for you.

Interns here don’t fetch coffee. You’ll be in meetings, pitching posts, and learning the strategy behind what makes digital storytelling stick. If you are looking for an internship where your voice matters, this is the opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities

🔸 Create & Curate Content: Develop posts, stories, and visuals that align with our brand voice and campaign goals.

🔸 Plan Social Calendars: Help organize weekly content schedules across platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook.

🔸 Engage & Analyze: Monitor engagement, suggest new ideas, and learn how to use data to improve performance.

🔸 Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly strategy sessions (Zoom meetings on Mon & Thurs, 8:30–9:30 PM EST).

🔸 Stay on Trend: Identify timely topics, viral sounds, and platform-specific trends that fit our voice.

🔸 Currently enrolled in a college or university program with coursework in marketing, graphic design, communications, public relations or a related field.

🔸 Strong written communication skills and an eye for detail.

🔸 Familiarity with a least one major social media platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)

🔸 Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines when given.

🔸 Enthusiastic about storytelling, branding, and nonprofit advocacy

🔸 Must be able to attend two mandatory Zoom meetings each week (Mon & Thurs, 8:30-9:30PM EST)
