Job Title: ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Location: Ocala, FL
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Summary:

The ENTRY Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the welcoming face of the organization, providing compassionate and professional service to patients. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and eager to learn Phlebotomy skills. The PSR I will assist with patient check-ins, maintain the waiting area, and support Phlebotomy operations during breaks or downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
  • Provide empathetic and informative responses to patient inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional waiting area.
  • Support Phlebotomy staff during breaks and learn Phlebotomy procedures.
  • Once trained, perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate commitment to organizational values and a positive public image.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (Required)
    (Retail, Home Health Aide, Hospitality, etc.)
  • No prior Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Keyboard/data entry proficiency is essential.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and perform Phlebotomy duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
  • Punctuality and full-shift availability are mandatory.
Additional Information:
  • Candidates must reside within a 20-25 minute commute from the Ocala, FL site.
  • This is a Front of House role with a clear path to Phlebotomy training.
  • Do not apply if unwilling to learn or perform Phlebotomy duties.
  • Excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in termination.
