Salary: $365,000.00 - $420,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide legal advice on FDA regulatory compliance matters, including product labeling, safety standards, and marketing practices within the food industry. Represent and defend clients in enforcement actions and regulatory matters before the FDA and other governmental bodies. Develop and oversee clients' compliance programs and internal investigations to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in the food and beverage industry to proactively counsel clients on emerging risks and opportunities. Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams within the firm to address complex legal and regulatory challenges. Leverage experience from prior positions or associations with regulatory agencies like the FDA to provide strategic guidance and advocacy. Minimum Position Qualifications: JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Active Bar Admission in Washington, D.C. Considerable experience in FDA regulatory compliance and enforcement ideally within the food industry. Past or present experience at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is essential. Demonstrated analytical, writing, and advocacy skills. Proven ability to engage effectively with both clients and regulatory agencies. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive background in food industry regulations and deep understanding of related legal and operational contexts. Proven track record of handling high-profile litigation and compliance matters. Experience in providing crisis management counsel under stringent timelines.
